Egg Donation
Indications for egg donation:
  • Absence of eggs (causes: perimenopause, menopause, premature ovarian failure syndrome, resistant ovary syndrome, condition after sapling-oophorectomy, radiation therapy, chemotherapy) 
  • Repeated unsuccessful attempts (more than three) of in vitro fertilization with own eggs 
  • Poor responder
  • Genetic diseases
Egg donation - information about donors

All potential egg donors should be mentally and physically healthy. Before joining the Egg Donation program, every potential donor should be examined by specialists:

  • Gynecologist
  • Medical geneticist
  • Narcologist - psychiatrist

In addition, every potential egg donor should be obligate examined for:

  • infections (syphilis, AIDS, hepatitis B and C, gonorrhea, trichomoniasis, chlamydia)
  • microbiological and pap smears 
  • ultrasound checking
  • genetic tests (karyotype).


If egg donation is anonymous, the recipient cannot obtain potential donor’s personal information. To choose a donor, the recipient can get access to about 20 general criteria of a potential donor, such as:

  • age
  • hair colour
  • eye colour
  • weight
  • height
  • blood type
  • Rh factor
  • education
  • hobbies and interests

It is also available now the exclusive selection criteria for egg donor:

  • - compatibility between recipient and egg donor by HLA-system
